My Catholic Advent And Christmas Book – Jennifer Galvin’s activity books for children have been enormously popular because, unlike other activity books, these are designed specifically to teach children about their Catholic faith. And her latest one does just that. She has put together entertaining word finds, crossword puzzles, color-by-number puzzles, and crack-the-code puzzles that will teach children about Advent and Christmas, all the while emphasizing the real meaning of the holiday. An added advantage is that the activities are tied to the lectionary for all three cycles. The activities are clever and challenging and are illustrated with charming, inviting art work. The sheets themselves are reproducible and are aimed at children from kindergarten through third grade.  Highlights:  an attractive, reasonably priced book;  reproducible pages;  perfect for home, school, or church use;  tied to all three cycles of the lectionary

  1. A lot of your links do not open. The message “URL Not Found” keep cropping up.

Check your links. It’s very frustrating to try to plan activities and then find the linked pages don’t open.

  2. Helen – I’m sorry, but which link did not work for you? I’ve checked them and they seem to be working fine on my end. Could you please specify which links aren’t functioning? Also, please remember that we are volunteer moms and that these activities are offered free of charge. I apologize for your frustration.

Helen, Look towards the top of your browser window after you click on the link. Do you have pop up blockers? This can prevent links from opening. You may have to right click on the window indicating it has been blocked, so that you can “temporarily allow pop-ups”. I hope that helps.

    Dear Lisa,

My four year old daughter, Juliana and I would like to thank you tremendously for the Sunday gospel activities and video. We look forward to doing all of the activities together each Sunday. It came at exactly the right time, when we were searching for something like this to do together. In Juliana’s words, “it is so much fun!” God Bless. Deanna & Juliana Grantz

I saw a short clip of Sunday Gospel for the last week’s Gospel. It is great. Keep it up!

    God bless
