ATLANTA, GA (October 9, 2009) – Journey of Hope Productions, LLC, (d/b/a divorcedcatholic.com) the leading developer and publisher of content for divorced and separated Catholics, announces its Journey of Hope 2010 Conference will be held February 27-28, 2010 at the Marriott Atlanta North Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. This conference will offer the separated or divorced Catholic, and those who minister to them, a variety of talks, workshops, and spiritual offerings. These offerings are designed to address issues of healing, living the Catholic faith, and navigating life after divorce.

Fr. Thomas Williams, author, theologian, and CBS/NBC News Analyst will give the keynote address on Saturday, February 27th. Fr. Williams will speak about his book, Can God Be Trusted?, and the importance of this issue for those who have experienced divorce to trust God, even though they feel let down.

A variety of workshops will be held during the conference. These workshops will be structured to provide information, facilitate dialogue, and help the attendees apply what they have learned after the conference. Workshop topics include Annulments, Helping Children of Divorce, Financial Solutions, Dating and Intimacy, Forgiveness and Healing, and Receiving the Sacraments. The Sacrament of Reconciliation and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be available during the conference on Saturday.

“This conference is a unique opportunity for divorced Catholics to learn how to heal from divorce by more fully living their faith.”, says Lisa Duffy, President of Journey of Hope Productions. “It also provides an excellent means for clergy, and those in ministry to divorced Catholics, to better understand how to serve this greatly underserved population of the Church.”, Duffy adds.

Archbishop Wilton Gregory of Atlanta will celebrate mass on Sunday. Archbishop Gregory has been the Archbishop of Atlanta since 2005. Having experienced the divorce of his own parents, Archbishop Gregory is particularly sensitive to the needs of divorced Catholics.

This conference is so exciting because it is the first of its kind to offer the range educational, spiritual and social offerings for the divorced Catholic.”, says Vince Frese, Vice President of Journey of Hope Productions. “We are so blessed to be able to offer this to the divorced Catholic community.”, Frese adds.
