Great New Book - Our Jewish Roots

dickow_jewish_coverCongratulations to my dear friend Cheryl Dickow, founder of Bezaelel Books, on the release of her newest book Our Jewish Roots: A Catholic Woman’s Guide to Fulfillment Today by Connecting with her Past. I have been a fan of Cheryl’s writing for years and had the tremendous honor of writing the foreword for this book.  Here’s a brief overview:

As Catholic women, a number of questions surface each day that are meant to make us pause and contemplate. We ask ourselves: What is God encouraging me to do?; Who is in my life and for what reason?; How can I serve God better today?; Am I allowing something from the past to hold me back from serving Jesus?; Do I have a grateful attitude?; Do I encourage and welcome the guidance of the Holy Spirit?; Do I enthusiastically embrace my Feminine Genius?; Am I joyfully pursuing my purpose?; Do I spend enough time in silence so that I can be more fully aware of God’s call upon my life? Connecting with the past allows us to answer these questions and thus live more fully in the present. Understanding the Jewish roots of our faith’s traditions and teachings-baptism, feminism, work, mysticism-help us live it more completely and defend it most accurately. See why the Matriarchs are the ideal role models for today’s Catholic women and learn to love your authentic self!

Cheryl is generously offering a number of review copies of this book for readers who will consent to review or blog about the book.  For more information, contact Cheryl at cheryl@BezalelBooks.comIn the mean time, the book is immediately available for order on Amazon and would make a great selection for small group or women’s bible study groups.  Congratulations Cheryl!

  1. Lisa, Thank you for posting this review & thank you even more to Cheryl for the opportunity to read & review her book for her! As a Mom w/out a blog, it’s hard to get people to give me a chance to do this sort of thing but I do LOVE to read wonderful Catholic books & wish there were more chances to review them. But, alas, w/out a blog or FB or Twitter, we are left in the dust alot of the time. I’m VERY excited to receive this book & begin the reading/reviewing journey…and I hope & pray that maybe there will be other chances to do so in the future. God bless your day!!!

  2. I think your content is beneficial to many readers. If more writers concerned themselves with their target audience like you do, people would read and learn more about this topic.
