Serving Others by Tanya Weitzel

How do I feel?
I don’t seem to ask.
Everyone else seems more important.
I am in service to them.

I live to serve,
not to be served.
I live to give,
not to receive.

Yet nature made me
to receive my husband.
Yet nature made me
to receive a child.

I gave birth.
I helped give life.
I serve God.
I serve my family.

When is time left for me.
Pulled in many directions,
I feel stretched thin.
Spinning in circles
makes me dizzy.
Does it ever stop?
Will it ever end?

Definition of motherhood:
A life lived for others.
