Butterflies on the Leaf

The two butterflies look almost like a mirror image of one another. However, there are two distinctly different butterflies on the same leaf, one hanging on to the bottom and one looking a bit more steady standing on the top.

We have all been in both of those places. We have had those times when we felt we were just hanging on by a thread, upside, confused, worried and concerned. We have also had those times when we felt we were on top of the world, standing steady, accomplished, proud and successful.

Such as life it fluctuates constantly. When we think we are standing steady we are knocked to our knees. When we feel we are barely hanging on and we let go someone catches us. The only guarantee in life is that there will be both those times of joy and adversity. Our challenge is to be able to accept and grow from each and every experience. We need to be able to respond instead of the knee jerk reaction we usually have. We need to prepare ourselves for both situations and handle them when they occur, because they will both occur.

Faith guides my response whether I am below the leaf or above the leaf. If I am beneath the leaf just hanging on, I try to let go and trust that God will catch me. If I stand above the leaf in complete joy I praise God for all the blessings He has so generously bestowed upon me. You see if it were not for God I would not be upon that leaf at all, in fact I would not be!

Find your faith learn to use it as a response rather than a reaction. Trust in God and thank Him for all your wonderful life experiences and trust in Him when you feel isolated and deserted. Trust in your faith and it will not matter if you are on the top of the leaf or the bottom.
