Please feel free to pass along these resources to teachers, families and parishes who may find them helpful.

Happy New Year! The clue for 6 Down in the January 8th crossword puzzle doesn’t make sense. The answer provided is Magi.

Thanks Monica — I will pull that asap and check it.

Monica, the clue relates to these first verses of the gospel passage: “When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea,
in the days of King Herod,
behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying,
“Where is the newborn king of the Jews?
We saw his star at its rising
and have come to do him homage.”

I hope that makes better sense to you. I’m trying to make our puzzles a bit more diverse than simply having fill in the blanks, but this will likely also mean that some students will need help completing all of the puzzle. Thanks!

But the Three Wise Men are often referred to as the Magi are they not…therefore the clue/answer would work?! Maybe I’m mistaken…

I’m having trouble opening the PDF files for the resources for the new changes in the Roman missal prepared by Karen Purnell (above). The message I receive tells me the page I tried to get to either doesn’t exist anymore, or never did. Just wondering if the files are in PDF format.

There seems to be a problem with #5. Across in the January 22 crossword puzzle.

    5) Jesus also called ___, the son of Zebedee, and his brother ____ [JAMES]

Not sure why there are two blanks in this clue. Rather than the first blank, it should read 5. Jesus also called John, the son of Zebedee, and his brother ____.

Very sorry for the inconvenience. That has been corrected, so you can download the revised version. Will work on fixing the broken pdf links next…
