Stumbling across this week’s Board of the Week — Awestruck Community — led me not only to a cool new Pinterest board to follow, but also a new Catholic evangelical community. Awestruck Community is a group board run by members of the Catholic social networking site AwestruckGlobal.com. Awestruck describes itself as the following:
A Social Network, a Geolocation Map, a Directory, a Video Gallery, an online Shop, a Perspectives Blog, a Virtual Faith-Sharing space, an EWTN viewing area, a safe environment for Catholics to Network and a point of contact for Faith Exploration.
The Awestruck Community Pinterest Board reflects the diversity of its 70+ members. You’ll find Popes pinned, Catholic news, memes, holy cards, saints, and much more. It’s the kind of board you’ll want to visit regularly to keep up with the action.
And here’s this week’s tip of the week from Allison Girone of the Catholic Pinterest Group Board who has kindly agreed to offer a weekly pointer for us on how to use some best practices to enjoy and effectively employ Pinterest:
Two cool Pinterest tools – Check out Quozio for creating quote pins. http://www.quozio.com/resources/howTo/ and check out http://snapito.com/ a tool to pin a screenshot of a webpage.
If you’re a Catholic using Pinterest, please drop a link in the comments below to share your boards. Also, I’d love to hear about why you love Pinterest and how you think this latest craze might be used to spread the Good News.
