Say Your Goodbyes & Send Your Prayers to Pope Benedict XVI – CatholicMom.com Spiritual Bouquet
By - Posted on February 26, 2013Very few of us feel ready to say goodbye to our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI. It seems as though we just learned the news and now the moment of transition is fast upon us.
As we endeavor to bid adieu to our Pope, we moms are cognizant of sharing this moment in time with our children. Indeed, this feels like unchartered territory, and there is much false information swirling around the Conclave process. My deepest desire today and tomorrow is for all of us to join together in fervent prayer for Pope Benedict XVI and for our Cardinals who have such an important decision before them.
I invite you today to join me in creating a special CatholicMom.com “spiritual bouquet” for Pope Benedict XVI. Please leave your prayers, comments and well wishes below – while he may not have a chance to read our blog any time soon, our God will hear and answer these prayers for his health and well being, and for the wisdom of the Cardinals.
Prayer for the Church in Anticipation of the Vacancy of the See of St. Peter
O Lord Jesus Christ, Supreme Pastor of Your Church,
we thank you for the ministry of Pope Benedict XVI
and the selfless care with which he has led us
as Successor of Peter, and Your Vicar on earth.
Good Shepherd, who founded Your Church
on the rock of Peter’s faith
and have never left Your flock untended,
look with love upon us now,
and sustain Your Church in faith, hope, and charity.
Grant, Lord Jesus, in Your boundless love for us,
a new Pope for Your Church
who will please You by his holiness
and lead us faithfully to You,
who are the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Amen.

I offer my Masses for the remainder of the Lenten season for our Holy Father, as well as two private prayer acts for the Pope and for our Cardinals.
I love you, Papa. You’ve been an amazing leader: teaching us humility, trust, and prudence. Thank you for all that Benedict is for us, Dear Lord. Thank you for his lessons, and for the leadership of the sheep. Continue to deepen his understanding and love of the Church, and to bring him peace and joy all the days of his life.
Amen.
I am offering my Adoration this week for Pope Benedict and the cardinals.
Not goodbye, but farewell sweet Papa! I pray you enjoy delicious, quiet times contemplating the face of our Lord and offering your heartfelt prayers for your successor. If I may presume to quote our Lord, “Well done, Good and Faithful Servant!”
Love, Susan
Love and prayers to Pope Benedict. Thank you for all you have done for your people. May God Bless you and may you always remain in Mary’s heart!
Prayers for Pope Benedict as he enters a new chapter of his life, and for the Church as it enters a new chapter, too. Lord, please guide the Cardinals with the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, as they choose a successor in this unprecedented way. Grant them traveling mercy to and from Rome. Grant that they may select a leader who will steadily guide the Church forward in these uncertain modern times of controversy and scandal. Help them to choose a Pope who will do Your Will here on earth. With love and hope in my heart and soul, Amen.
Thank you, Pope Benedict XVI, for your wisdom and service to our Church. May the coming days bring you peace.
I offer my Morning Prayers for Pope Benedict and the cardinals as they gather to elect our new Pope.
I offer my morning and evening prayers throughout this Lent (liturgy of the office) for our Papa Benedicto!
Come Holy Ghost. Come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your well beloved spouse.
