Daily Prayer Books: My Favorites

I literally cannot have enough daily prayer type books. It’s a sickness. Slap the numbers 3, 6 and 5 on the front cover of anything, and I want it. Why do you think that is? No, seriously, I can’t figure it out.

Anyway, here are my favorites. Make sure you tell me what other ones I need to add to my collection. Believe you me – I will buy it.

Jesus Calling

Catholic Mother’s Companion to Pregnancy

Tending the Temple

365 Saints

The Power of a Praying Wife/Parent

The Confident Woman Devotional

To be honest, I use the app for this on my iPhone. It’s a good one to read before I get out of bed.

  1. Love this list, Jenna! I’m humbled to be in this company… 🙂

One I’ve loved recently is A Year with the Bible, by Patrick Madrid. It’s bite-sized and yet really a great way to have scripture as part of your day. And somehow, Madrid’s brief prayers have a stick-to-it-ness for my life…maybe it’s their straightforwardness or their brevity. Anyway, one for you to check out!

    • Hey Sarah! The copy I have of your book is actually signed by you as well. It makes it that much more special. I won it on The Loveliest Hour.

I am going to check out Madrid’s book right now – chances are it will land in my collection!

And, big thanks for the g+. That kind of stuff always makes me smile 🙂
