Daily Gospel Reflection for September 22, 2014

Today’s Gospel: Luke 8: 16-18

Place your lamp on the lampstand, share your faith and the joys you have found with others. You may never have to say His name, it’s not always necessary. But the peace you communicate, the joy you give to others, perhaps even Jesus’ loving smile to a stranger. Shine His light to all. Do not hide your lamp. So many are lost and in darkness. It is our job to light their way. Do what you can to help. Share the great gift we have been given.

Are there people in my life, at work, at school, even at church that need the love of God? How can I be His light to them today?

Father, you are the light of the world and the light of my life. I long to shine for you, to reflect your goodness to your children. I am but a vessel, Lord; use me for your glory.
