Recruiting College Interns

InternsCatholicMom.com and Lisa Hendey are recruiting college (and qualified high school) interns for the 2014-15 school year. Requirements include:

  • A strong desire to serve the Lord in the New Evangelization
  • Practicing Catholic or student actively enrolled in sacramental preparation courses
  • Ability to work approximately five to ten hours per week on a volunteer basis
  • Basic experience with social media and a computer/tablet with access to the Internet

We have a variety of great projects available for interested interns and will work with you to identify your area of interest. Some of the possible projects you’ll be working on include writing, marketing, social media initiatives, search engine optimization, basic editing, and interface with other Catholic apostolates around the world. We are seeking dynamic, faith-filled students who desire to learn about the use of technology in the New Evangelization. In exchange for your service, we are happy to offer letters of recommendation, references, and tons of Rosaries for your intentions!

    My son, might be up for this experience.
    We live in Bakersfield, CA. Parishioners of St Francis Church 53yrs and Matthew 16.5 yrs. He has been homeschooled 1-10th grades. Received all his sacraments as of May 5, 2014, completed two NYLT Boy Scout Leadership Training Programs, Member of Order of the Arrow and Boy Scout Troop #125, getting ready to work on Eagle Scout Project through our Church. Attended LifeTeen Retreat in Arizona July 2014, started his dual credits with collegeplus in their college prep program in September, has been a music minister for 12.5 years, can to ring, and accompanying on guitar and Djembe and percussion, helps with Life Teen, he is an altar server, involved with feeding the homeless, and has spearheaded Hugs for the Holidays Homeschooling Project for 11 yrs with his 2 and oldest brother, collecting stuffed animals for the children at SFC Monday Night Dinners, the Jamieson Center, Homeless Shelter, Kern Medical Ctr. and Ronald McDonald House. He has expressed much interest in motivational speaking. Having endured his oldest brother’s 8 yr.struggle with ADHD, depression and self-medicationing solutions and recovery, he has a lot of insight to pull from.
    Perhaps, from the summary, you can assertain if he might be a candidate for this internship.
