Tis the season for sugar highs and costumes and the end of soccer. OK, so aside from the last of those, that could be any normal day for me…
My rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Though I struggled with large parts of this book, it is a good book and a spiritual classic for a reason. I love how St. Teresa goes through the Our Father and how she examines vocal prayer. She speaks to those of us who are highly distracted and who might tend to beat ourselves up for not being better at prayer.
I’m reading an advance copy of this and I’m pleasantly surprised by it. It’s a quick read (though I’m finding myself distracted by non-reading activities that keep me from it) and would be excellent for almost any of the young women in your life. (I don’t know if it’s intended that way, but it really strikes me as a book for younger women.)
I have to finish those books I’ve started and set to the side…so those are my “Up Next” books! 🙂
