Sophia Sketchpad - Free Online Catachetics Which Aren't Sketchy

I am part of a Catholic Networkers group on LinkedIn.  I get emails whenever something new is posted and occasionally I actually click on the link to see more about it.  This morning when I saw one of these links, it was something that I simply had to click and follow up on.  I am glad that I did.

Sophia Institute Press is one of the world’s top Catholic publishers and has a major focus on educational and catachetical resources in order to spur on the Church’s mission of evangelization.  As part of this effort, they have come out with a great new site that offers free videos and educational resources to Catholic students, teachers, and educators.  The site is called Sophia SketchPad and is a great resource.

Sophia SketchPad presents the truths of the Sacraments and the Catholic faith through short 6-7 minute white-board animated videos.  These videos, while short in length, do not skimp on the quality of information in them.  The images are clear, engaging, and the animations, while subtle, perfectly accent the message of the topic at hand.  The current video is on the Eucharist and there are at least two more are in the works.  The videos are free to watch online or to download for classroom use!

In addition to the videos themselves, there are free viewing and educational guides, both for elementary and high-school level students.  These resources do require a free account at Sophia Institute’s teacher site which gives educators additional resources to assist in the spread of the Gospel.

Sophia Institute Press has really created an amazing resource here for anyone wanting to share the Gospel message.  How could you use this resource to better help those around you to understand the Catholic faith?
