¡Animo! / Get Moving!

Esta mañana amanecí bajo un aguacero terrible. No quise levantarme.

Vamos. A moverse hacia el Señor.

This morning I woke up to the sounds of a terrible downpour. I did not get up immediately. I lacked motivation, not only to get out of bed, but to do any of my obligations for the day. The dark clouds zapped my desire to fulfill my duties.

I had a cup of coffee. I put on some lively music. I dressed inmy favorite outfit.

That changed my attitude – I just had to get moving.

How often is that the case with faith? I know what I need–be it attending Mass or going to confession, or doing something as simple as prayer.

Hesitation comes over me like a storm cloud. But all I need is to start.

My attitude changes immediately-and a rainbow comes out, a symbol of hope, of God’s love and mercy.

Come on. Get moving!
