Midafternoon is about the time I day I start to tucker out … this commercial from my youth always hums through my head when I do. I am dairy and caffeine free (no cheese or coffee to perk me up) so I usually get up and take a walk when I feel this way… what do you do?

  1. I usually call my mom. That time of afternoon is when I take a break to do what I call my “circuit” of errands – po box, bank, dry cleaner, market, all situated together. I do those chores and call my mom while I’m in the midst of it. It makes for a nice break and a great way to get a mommy pep talk!

  2. I am trying to stay away from chocolate, and caffeine that late in the day is going to come back to haunt me later…if I’m really dragging and can’t get in a nap I go for a big mug of water with tons of ice in it, and something crunchy like a handful of nuts.
