#CoffeeCraving: Anticipating the Journey - #CRSMedia Colombia Journal

I’ve been on the road the past two weeks for an extended visit to New York City. Returning home after such a long trip is always a bit overwhelming. The house is cold, the laundry stacks are huge and the mail bag is overflowing! But one particular “care package” that was waiting for me sent me into anticipation mode.

Nestled into the small cardboard box was an announcement about our upcoming trip to Colombia with Catholic Relief Services. My fellow travelers for this trip will be: Lino Rulli, Fr. Rafael Capo, Drew Mariani, and Sherry Brownrigg.

While on the trip, we will all be using a broad toolbox of media to share the experience with you. A few ways to travel along with us include following the hashtag #CRSMedia on various social media platforms, following our individual social media accounts (I’m @lisahendey) and also following @CRSRiceBowl and and the CRS Media Center for daily updates. I can guarantee that traveling along with this group is going to be an absolute blast!

We depart on January 10th. Our travels will take us to the coffee fields of Colombia where we will be exploring the work of Catholic Relief Services. I’ll be back tomorrow with another post that will highlight some of the amazing work being done in that region to transform the lives of those CRS serves!

In the mean time please join me in praying through the intercession of Colombia’s patrons Our Lady of Chiquinquirá, St. Louis Bertrand, and St. Peter Claver for the success and safety of our journey.
