Catholic Web Services is pleased to announce a new ministry in building St. Anthony Treehouse Chapels. The St. Anthony Treehouse Chapel was inspired by St. Anthony of Padua who lived in a treehouse in the last year of his life where he preached, prayed, and met with his flock. It was also during this last year of his life that the Infant Jesus appeared to him in his arms.

The sale of the chapels go to help Catholic Web Services in offering affordable website technologies to Catholic parishes and organizations. St. Anthony used the treehouse for preaching in his day to reach more people, and if he were alive today, he would be using the internet to reach a wider audience. It is hoped that these sacramental chapels will be a source for prayer, inspiration, and evangelization.
Each chapel is hand built with cedar and blessed by John Clem, a member of the Secular Franciscan Order. The St. Anthony Chapel has a San Damiano Crucifix, a Most Sacred Heart of Jesus window, and a statue of St. Anthony with the Infant Jesus. Each chapel also comes with a special prayer card to bless and pray with Jesus and St. Anthony. All sales are tax deductible as CWS is a 501c3 non-profit organization. The first St. Anthony Treehouse Chapel was donated to Fr. Michael Heine, O.F.M. Conv. at the Shrine of St. Anthony this past Saturday. He will be placing it near one the two existing treehouses on the shrine’s property. Copyright 2016 John Clem. Used with permission. All rights reserved.
