Tech Talk with Lisa Hendey/Son Rise Morning Show (CatholicMom.com)

On a recent episode of the Son Rise Morning Show, we discussed the life and work of Father Patrick Peyton, C.S.C., who was recently declared “Venerable” by Pope Francis.

There was big news this week for the entire Holy Cross Family Ministries community, including CatholicMom.com. Learn more about the latest developments in Father Patrick Peyton’s cause for canonization.

We typically talk about technology during this radio segment. This exciting announcement is actually tech related! Fr. Peyton used latest technology and media to share his devotion to the Blessed Mother and that work continues on social media, via YouTube, and on the web.

As I live in the heart of the entertainment industry, I can see firsthand how Venerable Peyton’s message has an impact in today’s world.

Father Peyton had a special motto that seems particularly important as we prepare our hearts for Christmas: the family that stays together prayer together.

Father Peyton also encouraged us to look beyond our own homes and parishes and into the world around us. How can we do this, even in our use of technology and media today? (his motto: “A World at Prayer is a World at Peace.”)
