We join together for our second day of prayer for a renewal of virtue in American media, focusing on faith, hope, and charity.
March 18: Prayer for Faith, Hope and Charity
Heavenly Father, we pray for a renewal of virtue in American media, focusing on faith, hope, and charity.
Dear Blessed Mother Mary, we ask you to pray with us that the virtues of faith, hope and charity will flourish in each of our hearts and in the hearts of everyone who consumes or creates modern entertainment and media. May the holiness of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit replace the spiritual emptiness, depravity, and spiritual superstition portrayed in much of American media and entertainment.
Pray: One Our Father, and three Hail Marys.
Imagine for a moment how the Holy Family was a beautiful earthly reflection of the love of the Holy Trinity. Their life together was a continual living demonstration of everyday virtues. Joseph’s kindness and fortitude, Mary’s faithfulness, purity, and humility, and Jesus’ charity, mercy, prudence, and so much more. May we allow the grace of the Holy Trinity to enliven our faith so that virtues become the fabric of our lives too.
Thanks for joining us in these nine days of prayer together. (Or at least as many days as you can!) I gratefully, humbly ask you to also include Virtue Works Media with your intentions in each of these daily prayers. Let’s start today and take the inspiration and strength we receive through these prayers to communicate a joyful desire to create and consume virtue in media and entertainment in our little circle of life. God is the original creative artist; working with him we can have confidence that it is possible to overcome evil with good and renew the face of the earth, from Hollywood to Silicon Valley and beyond.
