We join together for our fifth day of prayer for a renewal of virtue in American media focusing especially on information technology developers and users.
March 21: Prayer for God to infuse virtue in the hearts of all who create and use information technology.
Heavenly Father, infuse virtue in the hearts of all who create and use information technology. Guide their hands and hearts as extensions of yours, so that their work will glorify you.
Dear Blessed Mother Mary, we ask you to pray with us for the virtues of faithfulness, wisdom, steadfastness, integrity, and charity to inspire the thought habits of all who create and use information technology. Help us to all remember that what we are truly searching for is the Kingdom of God. We pray that the internet will develop from a tree on which the knowledge of good and evil are presented as equivalents into a tree that vibrantly nourishes the life of the soul.
Pray the third decade of the Joyful Mysteries: The Birth of Jesus
One Our Father and ten Hail Marys
Picture newborn baby Jesus and imagine holding Him close to your heart. The preciousness of each human life washes over you as you think of how God became a baby to live, die and rise with and for each person on earth. Remember God’s immanent presence with you to help you to be present to others and break free from technology’s captivating distractions.
Thanks for joining us in these nine days of prayer together. (Or at least as many days as you can!) I gratefully, humbly ask you to also include Virtue Works Media with your intentions in each of these daily prayers. Let’s start today and take the inspiration and strength we receive through these prayers to communicate a joyful desire to create and consume virtue in media and entertainment in our little circle of life. God is the original creative artist; working with him we can have confidence that it is possible to overcome evil with good and renew the face of the earth, from Hollywood to Silicon Valley and beyond.
