2012 Printable Advent Chain

It’s not too early to begin thinking about the upcoming season of Advent, which begins on Sunday, December 2, 2012. To help your family celebrate the true reason for the season, we’ve created the 2012 edition of our annual Printable Advent Chain.

Print out the page patterns on colored paper. Have your children or students cut into strips. Build your paper chain stapling the strips with a stapler in the correct order. Each day you tear off a piece of the chain that corresponds to the date and do the activity. Before you know it, it will be Christmas day!

  2. Laura, this ROCKS! Thank you so much for sharing it…

And, I must say, I COMPLETELY DISAGREE: it **IS** too early to think about Advent.

Thanks for making me think about it anyway. My children will be glad. 🙂

  3. I was just searching for this this morning. I guess I should have gone to the Catholicmom first. We have been doing the Advent Chain for two years now. Thank you for the suggestions!! It helps this non-creative mother! I have started a Pinterest board with ideas for each of the activities.

  4. Laura, this is such a great resource. I am the director of children’s ministries at my church and would like to share this project with my families this year. How may I do so and make sure to credit you appropriately?

    Thanks!

  7. Thanks for sharing! What a great idea! I’m sure my catechism class will love it. There is not much time to do meaningful activities … this is perfect!!
