Catholic ID – Card front

Today, we’re sharing a new contest for a product that belongs in every Catholic home. I’d like to thank Veronica Wendt of Catholic ID for not only hosting this contest, but also for creating a greatly needed resource for our families.

Catholic ID – Card back

Catholic ID cards are long lasting, beautifully made cards that you place in your wallet to alert others that you would like to see a priest in case of an emergency. The Act of Contrition is written on the back, which also makes them helpful when going to confession. Made of 30 mil plastic, they are made to last and are the same size and feel as a credit card or gift card.

Catholic ID was started two years ago as a family business outside of Steubenville, OH. Veronica, the founder of Catholic ID shares, “I came up with the idea after writing the “Please call a priest” message on sticky notes to place in my husband’s wallet when he went on business trips. Figuring there had to be a better way, we designed and developed the cards together.”

This week, we’re offering you the chance to win a ten-pack of Catholic ID cards for your family and friends. One lucky winner will be randomly selected, but please be a winner today by ordering this resource and supporting a great Catholic business. Here’s a note to you from Veronica Wendt:

Dear CatholicMom.com readers: Thank you for taking a moment and allowing me to share our cards with you. Catholic ID cards are a simple and inexpensive way to alert others that you wish to see a priest in case you are in a situation where you can’t communicate your wishes. The Act of Contrition is on the back, which makes it handy when going to confession. As a wife and mom of 9 (including 4 teenagers!) I feel better knowing that even if I’m not with them, a priest will still be called to attend to them in case of an emergency. With the Christmas season approaching, Catholic ID cards are perfect to include in your Christmas cards or as gifts. The cards sell for $3.00 each, and all orders receive FREE shipping. Bulk quantities are also available on our site. And for any of you that are looking for an alternative fundraiser, we offer a fundraising program for your Catholic organization. I am very excited to participate in this giveaway, and look forward to sending the winner their 10 free cards!

  1. Would love one of these… I lost my old one from the K of C years ago when my wallet was stolen.

    I’m definitely buying if I don’t win. 🙂

  2. What a great idea! I’m going to buy some right now for my immediate family. If I win I will be sure to pass them out to other family members and friends!

  3. Years ago our son had a medal he wore. With so many family members living all over, this will give some peace of mind. A wonderful idea for all ages:)

  4. I think my late mother in law had something like that taped to her refrigerator…but it’s been 6 years since her son (my husband) was called home to Jesus, and I didn’t see her after that because she had Parkinson’s and I was told that her memory went in and out – I didn’t want to put her through her son’s death time and again, so even though it broke my heart to do so, I stayed away.

I have ordered these and passed them out to family and friends. They are great to carry in your purse or wallet.

  6. Great idea. I would share them with all of my family members who are currently active duty in the military, my husband, our older children and my 81 year old father. God bless.

  7. Valerie Nicholas on

It is a wonderful Idea to have one on person. Would love to be a winner of this as this is not very common in Pakistan and my family and I would be previliged to carry this with us. Keep up the good work.

  8. A wonderful idea. My husband has a similar one he received from the Knights when he joined. I would love to have one for the rest of the family.

  9. Caroline Winsper on

I love these. One of our grown friends showed us a card like this years ago that his mom insisted he carry in his wallet!

Great idea to have these cards. I like the fact that you do bulk orders. Hope to check the site out more later. Thanks for letting us know about these ID cards!

  11. I have a post-it on in my wallet, as well. You never know when you might need it.
I encourage my friends and family to do the same. What a great product!!

  12. This is exactly what I have been looking for. I have wanted a way to make sure that a priest was contacted immediately if something happened to one of my relatives. This is perfect. Thank you for the opportunity to win them. God Bless

  13. This is a fantastic idea! I have found that today’s cars tend to have visors that don’t fit the clips for items with similar information. I will buy some and hope to win some more! 🙂

  14. Kathleen Mathews on

It is so very important for all catholics to carry these ID,s in their wallets. A few months back I bought these for myself and my three children. I would love to give them to the rest of my family and friends.

  15. Janette Shippy on

I have never won anything but just like my journey of faith, I just keep going and going. I will have to buy if I don’t win!

  16. I have been wanting something like this to carry with me. My 6 year old son and I just came into the Church last year and I am so happy to be a Catholic! It would bring such peace to know a priest would be contacted if there was any kind of emergency where I was unable to ask for one myself. I love this idea!

  17. What a wonderful way to share your faith and a feeling of peace knowing you have Catholic ID on you incase the need arises for a priest, bystander can also recite the Act of Contrition with you! God bless you for your Ministry!
