Well, how about this: let me offer you the chance to win one of the two copies we have to give away of Valent Richie’s iOS app Catholic Meditations for Lent with St. Thomas Aquinas.

Who better than the Angelic Doctor to accompany you during Lent? And before you think you’re not smart enough or patient enough to deal with these meditations, let me speak as one who has used the app: you can do it.

There are meditations for 63 days starting from Septuagesima Sunday until Holy Saturday with  topics that you can find listed on iTunes. (I started to copy them here, but it was such a long list that I decided not to).

Whether you use this app daily or you dip into it, you’ll find that both the artwork and meditations will help you grow.

Contest ends on Ash Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Midnight Pacific.

Thank you for the chance to win. I have an android phone and I am hoping it is compatible for my phone. Anything extra during this Year of Faith that we can use to help us learn more about our faith is a wonderful tool. I would love to try this app and get the “extra” that might help me get closer and understand Him more.

  3. I was reading a book of St. Thomas Aquinas last night. I will say it was not midnight reading…zzz
I am willing to try his writing again, if I win the app.
    Thank you and happy Lent!

  4. Would love to have this and many other Catholic Apps. I must say, we need more free apps! I am a Religion, Social Studies and Math Teacher. I recently went looking for free videos and apps to use in my Catholic religion class, as well as my Social Studies class where I was studying Ancient Islam. I was HORRIFIED when I found HUNDREDS of FREE videos and apps for Muslim evangelization, and nothing comparable from the Catholic Prospective created recently, widely available, and FREE. Catholics! Wake Up! Get the Word out regardless of the all mighty dollar!!!

  6. I thank you for the opportunity to win this app! I have been looking for an app to include in my prayer life & daily meditations as Lent approaches & St Thomas Aquinas is one Saint I have not explored enough. Regardless if I win or not I will get this app & look forward to his insights which will no doubt expand & enlighten mine.
On this feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, I will today & the days that follow be keeping Our Holy Father in my prayers in this time of his transition & transition in our Church & the Cardinals who will be given the awsome task of electing a new Pope. God Bless us all.

We’re all going to need the wisdom of St. Thomas Aquinas during this Lenten journey. God bless the Pope and His Holy Church.

I would love to have this App! Sounds like a wonderful way to stay focused during Lent. Thanks for the opportunity!

  9. OMGoodness…how do you decide who gets this? Sounds/looks awesome, but I must say, it sound like Heather’s hubby HAS to be the one. I mean, he was actually inquiring about one! Not to say that I wouldn’t be thrilled to be the winner. 🙂
Blessings to all as we begin our 2013 Lenten journey.

Wow! My family would really benefit from this and we could share this with our Christ in your neighborhood lent group! I pray we win! 🙂

    Thanks for sharing,

    Maggie
