Blessed, Beautiful and Bodacious by Pat Gohn

Today, we’re thrilled to be officially kicking off the book tour for my dear friend Pat Gohn’s brand new and bombastically brilliant book, Blessed, Beautiful and Bodacious: Celebrating the Gift of Catholic Womanhood. For the next ten days, Pat will be “touring” virtually, sharing her message of hope via audio segments on many of your favorite blogs. And of course we’re thrilled to launch this effort, not only because Pat Gohn is a long-time friend of and contributor to CatholicMom.com, but even more so since this book needs to be in the hands of every Catholic woman. In my endorsement of the book I said:

Pat Gohn

Pat Gohn is the trusted friend with whom you wish to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and a conversation. She’s the ‘bodacious’ gal who will have you laughing out loud and noting the great joy to be found in everyday blessings in life. She’s the profound catechist who will hold your hand and draw you closer to Christ. Live, love, and laugh with Gohn and you’ll soon discover that you too are blessed, beautiful, and yes, even bodacious in your own unique way!

But enough from me, let’s hear directly from Pat Gohn with today’s blog tour conversation:

In listening to today’s excerpt from Blessed, Beautiful and Bodacious, we’d like for you to reflect upon the following quote from the Second Vatican Council:

“Conscience is the most secret core and the sanctuary of the human person. There they are alone with God whose voice echoes in their depths.” (Gaudium et Spes, 16.)

If-your-body-is-a-temple-1

To enter to win your copy of Blessed, Beautiful and Bodacious please reflect in the comments below on Pat’s audio segment, and especially on the quote above. I urge you to pour yourself a cup of coffee, to sit in a quiet spot and to enjoy a few moments with Pat Gohn.

You’re invited after today’s pondering to continue the inspiration by joining in on each stop of Pat Gohn’s blog tour. At each of the blogs Pat visit’s, you’ll have the chance to learn more about the book through additional audio excerpts from the book. See the entire schedule here.

We’re blessed to be giving away one copy of Blessed, Beautiful and Bodacious. To enter to win, leave a comment below by April 26, 2013. One winner will be randomly selected to win a copy of Pat’s book. Be sure to enter, but don’t wait to bring this amazing message from Pat Gohn into your life! This book is a gift meant to be savored, pondered and then shared with the favorite women in your life.

I never thought of the conscience as the Holy of Holies. Hmmm…would that be where the Holy Spirit resides in us? Cardinal Mercier’s prayer: “O Holy Spirit, Soul of my soul, I adore You. Enlighten, guide, strengthen and console me. Tell me what I ought to do and command me to do it. I promise to be submissive in everything that You permit to happen to me, only show me what is Your will.”
Eager to follow the blog tour!

  4. Ah, I might have to buy this book before the draw even happens!! Speaks right to my heart – especially when talking about the noise of everything around us.

  5. We already have this wonderful book, but would love a copy to give away to a special friend, or someone in our Mom’s Group. Deacon Tom has been sharing segments from the book with our Mom’s Group at church; now I think I’ll take my laptop to our next meeting and play this audio segment so the ladies can hear Pat’s words, from her own lips!

  6. Dear Lisa,

Thanks so much for your support and for sharing this book with the wonderful readers of CatholicMom.com! Your friendship and this site have really mentored me over the years!
