7 Sorrows Rosary Wrap from On This Day Designs

Mother’s Day is coming up soon – one of my favorite holidays of the year, because I love to have the occasion to shower love upon my mother and mother-in-law. When I was growing up, Daddy always made a huge celebration out of the day. Even if there weren’t lavish gifts, there were always handmade cards, Mass as a family and breakfast in bed. My mom didn’t lift a finger on Mother’s Day – it was more about sharing our appreciation for her than spending a ton of money.

As a community service, especially to our male readers, this post serves as your formal reminder that Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12. To help you get started with your planning, my friends at On This Day Designs are offering our readers the chance to win an amazing gift: the absolutely gorgeous 7 Sorrows Rosary Wrap.

Medals: 7 bronze 3/8″ medals depicting Mary’s 7 sorrows, bronze 5/8″ medal with Mary at the foot of the Cross. All medals have image of Mary with her Immaculate Heart being pierced by her 7 sorrows.

Beads: Glass seed beads, transparent Czech glass beads, metal spacer beads

Memory Wire: Adult size

The Rosary of the 7 Sorrows has been around since the 13th century. This chaplet gives us the opportunity to meditate on Mary’s 7 sorrows that she suffered as the mother of Jesus.  There has been a resurgence in this devotion since Our Lady appeared at Kibeho, Rowanda and asked the visionary Marie-Claire Mukangango to reintroduce it to the world. This lovely bracelet is a full chaplet with medals depicting Mary’s 7 Sorrows. Comes with instructions on how to pray the 7 Sorrows Rosary as given by Our Lady to Marie-Claire.

This gift comes from the awesome team at On This Day DesignsHere’s a bit about them:

We are a small, family owned and operated jewelry company located in America’s heartland. Our parents, Joan and Jack Minardi, wanted a big family and God answered their prayers with 8 bundles of joy, 6 girls and two boys. We six sisters and two sisters-in-law hung out our shingle in 2006 and haven’t looked back. Actually, to be honest, occasionally we do look back and wonder, “What were we thinking?” Some of our 49 children help us with our jewelry making and eventually we may press our ever growing numbers of grandchildren into service. Presently, we have 12 grandkids…who knows maybe one of them will be running On This Day Designs in 30 years? In between our family duties, we design, handcraft and sell both retail and wholesale Catholic jewelry including hard to find men’s designs, tenners and ‘fun finds’ we want to share with our customers. We create many unique items that may not be found on other Catholic sites. Read more…

May I recommend that along with entering this contest, you head directly over to On This Day Designs and do your Mother’s Day shopping today? I can personally guarantee that any gift you purchase from these amazingly talented jewelry designers will be a blessing to its recipient! This mom already has a long “wish list” of items I’m going to be emailing to my husband!

  1. I just learned about the 7 Sorrows Rosary when I heard Immaculée Ilibagiza speak a few months ago. It is such a beautiful meditation and this is a beautiful gift!

    • Hi Nikki,
I’m Sue with On This Day Designs. I thought you may find it interesting that the idea for the 7 Sorrows Rosary Wrap came to my sister Carolyn after she heard Immaculée speak. She and our sister Mary Ann, who attended the talk with Carolyn, both now have a devotion to the 7 Sorrows of Mary and the beautiful meditation of this rosary.

  2. I would love to win! Our church is Our Lady of Sorrows and has really become a home away from home for us these past few years. Beautiful!

Both my mother and myself were born on the Feast of the Seven Sorrows of Our Lady, and therefore this Feast Day was very special to us. Mum is no longer here but I feel this very close connection with her and with the Seven Dolors of Our Lady – incidentally my second name is Dolores. I am planning to try and save money to buy myself this Rosary Wrap. It is so beautiful! Ethel Dolores Morris

  10. This is beautiful. I just learned about this rosary from immaculee at a retreat a couple weeks ago! Would love to win!

  11. Wow that is all I can say. That is an amazing way to honor our Blessed Mother. We had a retreat this Lenten season and our topic was the Rosary. It was an amazing experience. The rosary has a whole new meaning to me as well as the other women who participated. May God and the Blessed Mother continue to inspire your amazing work!!

  12. I, the Mom, love using jewelry to evangelize. I have a Holy Spirit bracelet and 2 others from Italy. This bracelet is unique in its Catholic design and functional, as a Rosary meditation, too. I, the Mom, would love to win this! I am heading to On This Day Designs right now… Thank you for your efforts!
