New film captures the joy, energy, and inspiration of first World Youth Day with Pope Francis

SAN FRANCISCO, November 19, 2013 – Revolution in Rio: The Best of World Youth Day 2013 is a pulsating 55-minute documentary that will help you experience all the highlights of World Youth Day in Rio de Janero in August 2013.

More than three million young people around the world responded enthusiastically to the invitation of Pope Francis to attend the inspirational events of World Youth Day. Now, through Revolution in Rio, you can experience that incredible enthusiasm of youth for the challenges presented by the charismatic Pope. This dynamic film captures six unforgettable days, synthesized into 55 intense minutes that mix humor, fervor, tears, and love in a joyful symphony.

Revolution in Rio includes many thrilling moments of celebration, art, and drama, with a dynamic soundtrack and is interspersed with brief interviews of young people at World Youth Day. It ends with the prophetic and hopeful witness of Pope Francis: “Christ is preparing a new springtime in the world”.

The DVD also contains 50 minutes of “Extras”, including the top songs of World Youth Day, the Pope’s special speech to young Argentines, a photo gallery, and an extract of the biography of Pope Francisco.
