Seasons of Change

seasons of change

It moves without delay, without consideration, without consent; the seasons move from one to the next without our control.

We move from the cool evenings of fall with the beauty of the autumn colors into the joyous days of Christmas and the snow falling upon the cold ground.

It is not ours to decide when the earth will turn, when the temperature will drop, when the leaves will fall or the blossoms bloom. It is ours to adapt to the changes set before us daily, yearly and throughout our lifetime.

  1. Lovely reflection. Thank you. We had our first real snow here this weekend. Although I hate the cold, I need all 4 seasons in my life. They help me work through the interior seasons as well 🙂
