In preparation of Lent, I spent some time online looking for new ways to celebrate this, my favorite time of year. Yes, I used “celebrate” and “favorite” in the same sentence as Lent! There is such joy in practicing the disciplines of fasting, almsgiving and prayer – yes, joy! I can already detect a slight amelioration in my spiritual life!
Catholic Sistas – Lenten Instagram Photo-A-Day Journey 2015
I am totally addicted to photo-a-day challenges! For Advent I was ambitious and created my own, but decided with my present workload, and the awesomeness of this (and the Busted Halo #InstaLent challenge); I would be a follower instead of a leader this Lent. The image below lists the daily themes – but for full details on how to participate visit the Catholic Sistas website!
Catholicmom.com — Meatless Fridays

Blessed Is She – #BISsisterhood Link-Up // Lent
I am not exactly sure how I discovered Blessed Is She – I will go with the Holy Spirit – I am just glad I did. There can never be enough support for women on their Catholic faith journey. I have enjoyed the regional Facebook Community and the Twitter chats.
