Spiritual support program offers hope and healing to couples struggling with infertility and / or pregnancy and early infant loss as well as to adoptive families

Sarah’s Hope & Abraham’s Promise is a spiritual support program based on Catholic teaching that serves couples struggling with infertility and/or pregnancy loss as well as adoptive families. Three upcoming events aim to bring hope, healing and community to these families who so greatly desire support from their faith community in these significant life experiences.

Couples Infertility Healing Retreat

Couples struggling to conceive are invited to a healing retreat on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.! The educational and healing program is from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Austin, Texas, followed an optional Adoption Information Program is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the same location.

The retreat will feature discussion on topics related to Catholic fertility issues as well as the opportunity for reconciliation and a Healing Mass. The day promises to be a beautiful one that will renew couples on their journeys to parenthood. There is a fee of $95 (per couple) to attend the whole day or $45 (per couple) to attend just the adoption information program. A light breakfast as well as lunch and dinner will be provided.

If either spouse is unable to attend, one spouse is welcome to register.

The Bishop Vasquez Scholarship is available for those who need financial assistance.

Register by Oct. 23, 2017 at www.infertilityretreat2017.eventbrite.com.

Adoption Information Dinner Program

Anyone who has ever considered building their family through the miracle of adoption is invited to attend an Adoption Information Dinner Program on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. to learn more about what adoption can entail and to hear from others who have gone through it before.

Adoption Celebration Mass

All those who have ever made an adoption plan for a child, adopted a child, or those who were adopted are invited to celebrate National Adoption Month at an Adoption Celebration Mass that will be Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at 7 p.m. Rev. James Misko will celebrate the Mass, which will be in the chapel at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. Following Mass, there will be fellowship and resources in the narthex.

Anyone who has been touched by adoption or who has a heart for those in the adoption triad is invited to attend the Mass and give thanks for the gift of adoption and to pray for all those whose lives have been affected by it.

RSVP at www.FamiliesBuiltByLove.com.

The event is sponsored by Destined: Families Built by Love, a program of the Sarah’s Hope & Abraham’s Promise Ministry for couples struggling with infertility and / or pregnancy loss, as well as for families built by adoption.
